Membership
Searchlight networks allow members to plug into a network of peers facing the same challenges to share experiences and solve common pre-competitive problems throughout the year.
The network is underpinned by cornerstone, quarterly virtual meetings that enable the year-round exchange of experiences around shared areas of interest; these facilitated conversations are just one part of the value proposition.
Each member works with a dedicated membership delivery leader whose job is to ensure that the bespoke goals of every member are met throughout the year by adding individual value between meetings. This includes facilitating deeper connections with your peers, exclusive opportunities to network at the annual flagship event, and access to a wealth of member content, conference insights, market intelligence, and more through an exclusive online member hub.
The minimum membership length is 12 months to allow members to experience the full benefits of being a member. However, at the end of the initial 12-month period and every 12 months after, you will have an opportunity to renew your membership for the upcoming year’s involvement.

You should invest an hour a month to meet the expectations of a Searchlight membership. However, we understand that time is the most valuable resource for network members; therefore, the network is designed such that every member has a stake in its success. This creates an obligation for each meeting to be as valuable as possible, with key takeaways that inspire real change and, ultimately, save you time by accessing a dozen or more perspectives on an issue you are facing without leaving your desk.
Plus, you can nominate a colleague to take your place if you can’t make a meeting or rotate membership amongst your team. Outside the meetings, you can use the network as you see fit, but we remind members that you get out what you put in.
The annual membership fee for a Searchlight network varies between each network. It depends on several factors, including how long the network has been running and how many members are active within it.

The 120+ biopharma organizations currently part of the 10+ active Searchlight networks have told us that they view participation in this year-round dialogue as a natural extension of the scientific discourse that takes place at the annual flagship conferences and makes no distinction between the conversations that might happen onsite over a coffee or in a workshop and those which occur online in a cornerstone meeting.
Furthermore, the issues discussed in Searchlight meetings focus on pre-IP areas, and no one is expected to share anything they are uncomfortable sharing.

Searchlight networks bring together like-minded professionals motivated by what can be shared rather than being defined by what can’t.
Success relies on the equitable exchange of experiences; therefore, the Searchlight team works with all prospective members before joining to ensure they understand what they can and can’t share, are motivated to collaborate, and have sufficient experience to contribute to network discussions.
Experience
In each cornerstone meeting, members spend 90 minutes deep diving into a critical pre-competitive question that members have prioritized for us to address.
The members will define the format ahead of time to ensure each meeting delivers maximum value. Plus, we’ll add new faces to the meetings as the network expands to provide an even greater diversity of perspectives can be shared among the group.
Searchlight members sign up as a 'company' rather than an 'individual', so places are fully interchangeable. If you can't make a meeting, you can nominate a colleague to take your place or rotate amongst your team.
Unless indicated otherwise, Searchlight memberships include one seat per meeting, which is fully interchangeable within your organization to ensure everyone's voice is heard within the time we have together. However, there are occasions throughout the year when we will invite you to participate with a subject matter expert, depending on the subject we'll be discussing.

Searchlight networks put members in the driving seat with the opportunity to vote on the key challenges discussed at quarterly meetings. This vote happens at the network launch to influence discussions for the next year, with subsequent votes every 12 months after that.
Individual catch-ups before each meeting allow networks to remain agile to new developments and news if members highlight new topics to discuss.

Data
Meetings often utilize case studies or published data to anchor discussions which are, in many cases, provided by members. However, discussions will remain in a pre-competitive space.
Searchlight meetings will focus on a pre-competitive space; therefore, an NDA is not required.
